The looming exit of Ulster Bank and KBC from the Irish market represents a “great opportunity” for An Post to grow its banking activities, politicians will hear tomorrow.
The state’s postal delivery provider will tell the Oireachtas transport committee it has recorded a 77 per cent jump in new current account openings this year, and that it is eyeing up a gap in the market left by the two departing banks.
