An Bord Pleanála is behind on one year’s worth of cases, chair confirms

An Bord Pleanála, the planning authority mired by a large backlog of casework, will be operating at full capacity by mid-May, the chair of the board has said.

Oonagh Buckley, the chair, said there is about “a year's worth of files on hand” in the backlog, which need to be processed urgently.
