Amnesty International demands Meta pay reparations to the persecuted Rohingya people

Amnesty International has called on Meta to pay reparations to the Rohingya for what the rights group described as the social media giant’s role in the ethnic cleansing of the persecuted minority group.

More than 700,000 men, women and children fled the mass violence perpetrated against them by the Myanmar military in Rakhine State in northwestern Myanmar in 2017.
