Amazon ‘interested’ in operating contentious €1.2bn Clare data centre
New development is being built by Art Data Centres, an Irish firm - and has been subject to local opposition
Amazon has expressed an interest in operating a huge new data centre in Ennis, Co Clare, after the €1.2 billion project received a green light from An Bord Pleanála this week, the Business Post has learned.
The tech giant told the planning regulator it would be “interested in occupying and operating” the 200MW data centre, which is being built by a Dublin-based company called Art Data Centres Limited.
