Almost two-thirds of Dublin businesses have lost employees due to lack of housing

Lack of affordable housing is proving a major stumbling block for firms in the capital

Nearly two in three, or 62 per cent, of Dublin businesses reported they have either lost employees or had prospective employees turn a job down due to a lack of affordable housing.

And 30 per cent of firms had temporarily subsidised accommodation or provided it outright to staff to allow them to take up work in Dublin, the survey found.
