Aldi has announced price cuts of up to 23 per cent across a range of its produce in a move that will the price of a typical trolley filled with its most popular goods reduced from €121 to €106.

Among the goods that will see prices drop include the contents of a typical packed lunch for school children, such as sliced chicken, sandwich thins and yogurt pouches.
