Airbnb-linked spending in Ireland valued at over €500m

Airbnb-linked tourism spending totalled €537 million last year, the equivalent to 10.5 per cent of all international travel-related spending in Ireland, according to a new report.

The study, commissioned by the temporary accommodation provider and carried out by Oxford Economics, shows that employment linked to Airbnb activity accounted for around 5 per cent of total tourism employment in 2022 - with almost 5,000 jobs supported.
