AIB shareholders ‘could be in line’ for interim dividend or buyback later this year

AIB’s strong capital position could result in an interim dividend or buyback in the second half of 2024, analysts have said.

Diarmaid Sheridan, analyst at Davy, said AIB’s results for the first three months of the year show its common equity tier one capital (CET1) ratio was 15.9 per cent, up form 15.8 per cent at the end of December.
