Dozens of personal insolvency cases could be delayed by a Supreme Court decision to hear an appeal against a debt deal for a farmer who was allowed to keep a €1.8 million farm, the Business Post understands.

Sources working in the area of personal insolvency, including lawyers and personal insolvency practitioners (PIPs), said cases which involved agricultural land as a valuable asset may be adjourned pending the decision of the Supreme Court.
