It’s set to be a busy week as AGM season kicks into gear, with shareholder gatherings scheduled for the likes of AIB, Glanbia, Flutter, Kerry Group and more.

Each of these Irish heavyweights face different challenges as they meet their investors, with share buybacks, inflation anxieties and bonus bonanzas dominating the agendas at this week’s meetings.

Here’s a guide to what can be expected from each.

AIB: €1 billion buyback and dividends

On Thursday, AIB’s AGM will mark another step towards the bank’s return to private hands for the first time since the crash, with a nearly €1 billion share purchase from the state set to be rubber-stamped at the meeting following its “exceptionally strong financial performance” in 2023.
