Aer Lingus hopes Banshees of Inisherin hype will drive interest in Knock-Heathrow route
The new daily service is part of an effort by the airline to take advantage of screen tourism following interest in the Oscar nominated film
Interest in the Banshees of Inisherin has partially inspired Aer Lingus to launch a new route from Ireland West Airport Knock to London Heathrow.
The new route will commence on March 26 and operate daily.
In a statement, the airline said it was aiming to take advantage of screen tourism, with the Martin McDonagh film, which has been nominated for nine Oscars, cited as showcasing the west of Ireland to a global audience.
