Activision Blizzard staff demand better payouts as Microsoft-owned firm cuts 130 jobs

Irish-based workers at Activision Blizzard, the video game maker owned by Microsoft, have called on the company to improve its redundancy packages as it lays off more than 130 people.

Staff are also urging the company, which was acquired by Microsoft for $68 billion last year, to implement a voluntary redundancy programme before imposing compulsory cuts as part of a wider series of 1,900 redundancies across the group.
