Property developer Michael O’Flynn has said the long-running legal battle he has pursued over his neighbour’s debt write down is “a matter of principle” intended to hold the insolvency system to account.

The Cork-based developer said he took his row all the way to the Supreme Court because he believed the insolvency process in Ireland should be “fair and transparent”.
