81,000 empty homes recorded in December as overall vacancy rate dips marginally

The national average vacancy rate stood at 3.9 per cent last year, an annual decrease of 0.1 per cent

There were more than 22,700 homes under construction in Ireland at the end of 2023, according to new data released by GeoDirectory.

The research published by GeoDirectory, the data intelligence unit of An Post, has also shown that 28,742 new residential address points were added to its database last year, up 0.8 per cent year on year.
