It is less than a decade since Revolut, the London-based fintech, launched its instant payments app. But since that launch in 2015, it has gained cult brand status in Ireland and around the world.

The term “Revolut me” is practically ubiquitous among consumers today, and the app is often the preferred option for transferring cash, making payments in a foreign currency or splitting a bill.
