Research carried out by the consumer protection watchdog has highlighted the potential impact of Brexit on Irish online shoppers.

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) found that 72 per cent of Irish consumers had bought something online from a company based in the UK in the last two years.

Clothing was the category with the highest share, followed by electronics and footwear.
