A phalanx of more than 20 gardaí stood co-ordinating operations at Galway University on Saturday morning as delegates, TDs, MEPs, and ministers arrived for the annual Fine Gael ard fheis.
Across three centres at the historic campus, they had gathered for rousing speeches, a good dollop of back-slapping, and political discussion as their party fought against a crisis that’ll require renewal over the coming years.
