Johnny Ronan

Property developer Johnny Ronan told Minister for Finance Michael Noonan on the day of the election earlier this year that the “financial disaster” that is the National Asset Management Agency (Nama) would be his “political legacy”.

Ronan’s hard-hitting email sent on February 26, 2016, told Noonan: “I am disappointed that you continue with the fiction that Nama’s policies and practices are above political scrutiny by the minister who has direct responsibility for it.”
