Pulling the plug: Why the buzz has gone out of electric car sales

Sales figures show that despite overall growth in the car market, electric sales have hit a speed bump

It came as a surprise when the latest car sales figures showed a 16 per cent decline in electric vehicle (EV) sales in the first three months of the year, compared with the same period in 2023.
