Peugeot’s upgraded 208 is worthy heir of small car crown
The attractively designed 208 was already a market leader but its upgrade enhances the design still further and offers some new colour choices
When Ford discontinued the Fiesta, every other car manufacturer in the world swarmed around the carcass to get a portion of the class-leading Ford’s market share. To give themselves a fighting chance, most brought out an upgrade – new lights here or new engines there – but few have gone as far as Peugeot, which comprehensively overhauled the 208 for its tilt at the small car crown.
