In the course of their correspondence over the spring, ministers Stephen Donnelly and Paschal Donohoe both made reference to the HSE’s inability to provide timely and transparent financial reporting.

The cancellation of a meeting of the Health Budget Oversight Group (HBOG), which consists of senior officials from the Department of Health, the Department of Public Expenditure and the HSE, was blamed on the HSE being “significantly delayed” in providing financial information to the group.
