JobBridge: An employer’s perspective

JobBridge was introduced at a time of great economic uncertainty, in the midst of a recession. It was in response to a sharp increase in unemployment which effectively was unprecedented. The aim was to get unemployed people to break the cycle where they could not get a job without experience.

We had two or three JobBridge people [at the GAA club he formerly chaired] on our books regularly for two or three roles. ...
