There have been countless warnings over the years on the negative impact of video games on children’s development, but if Jen-Hsun ‘Jensen’ Huang is anything to go by, we may have less to fear than we initially thought.

The founder and chief executive of Nvidia, a chipmaker that last week briefly hit $1 trillion in market value, credits gaming for teaching him valuable life lessons.

“Maybe it’s because I grew up in the video game era, but I’ve never beaten myself up about mistakes. When I try something and it doesn’t turn out, I go back and try it again,” he told the New York Times in an interview way back in 2010. “Maybe it’s because I grew up in that generation, I have the ability to take chances, which leads to the ability to innovate and try new things.”
