Former PTSB chief claims he is ‘being made a scapegoat’ as he hits out at Central Bank inquiry

On New Year’s Eve 2017, a registered letter was delivered to the home of David Guinane, the former chief executive of PTSB.

The contents of the letter, sent by the Central Bank of Ireland, included a number of confidential documents which the regulator had seized from PTSB as part of its investigation into the tracker mortgage scandal.
