Hannah Murphy had an itch she needed to scratch, and it was a stroll on Leeson Street in Dublin that gave her the perfect inspiration. Murphy started Perch Coffee after seeing that a kiosk on the street was empty and available, and deciding that it was the ideal place for her to open her own business.

“It grew out of a combination of loving coffee and having a customer service background. I wanted to combine the two. I was in a family business, Clonskeagh Motors, and really enjoyed it but I had that itch to do something on my own,” Murphy told the Business Post.
