Cork’s Everyman Theatre is the place to go this month for a new production of Dancing at Lughnasa. The year is 1936 in Brian Friel’s loosely autobiographical play: Catholic Ireland is showing cracks, industrialisation is looming, civil war is flaring in Spain and in rural Donegal, the five unmarried Mundy sisters are struggling to get by.
