I’m not one to tell other people how to lead their lives, but I’ll be honest: as far as I’m concerned, one of the odder and more disturbing trends of modern times has been our increasing fascination with selfie-taking – the practice whereby we relentlessly take pictures of ourselves to post on social media, racking up ‘likes’ as a form of currency.
