If Seat can make its current financial recovery stick, then it may just count as one of the best business turnarounds for some time. Not so long ago, Seat was something of a basket case, with an ageing range and falling sales.
Heavily dependent on the European market, it was haemorrhaging money and Volkswagen was making open threats about dumping its Spanish outpost and snapping up Alfa Romeo from Fiat.
