The new Ford Focus RS is good fun, in a way that high performance cars aren’t supposed to be anymore

You could almost predict what a Ford Focus RS – of the first or second generations from 2003 and 2009, respectively – would be like with that wide-arch stance, the searing paintwork, the bulky bucket seats and wings like the solar panels of some Mad Max inspired international space station. You knew they’d be fun but, in the parlance, not the sort of potential partner you’d introduce to your parents.
