In the end, Liz Truss proved to be no contest against the lettuce. The lettuce, you’re probably aware if you follow British politics, is a real-life lettuce which was bought from a grocery store for 60p, stuck up on a live video on YouTube on October 14 and left to wilt at a rate that has proven to be slower than the Conservative leader’s grip on power.
