Museum of Literature Ireland wins prestigious European cultural heritage award

Dublin-based museum was singled out for its work in fostering social cohesion, inclusion and multicultural dialogue

The museum will be presented with its award alongside other winners in a ceremony in Venice in September

The Museum of Literature Ireland at Newman House on St Stephen's Green South in Dublin 2 has won a prestigious cultural heritage award from the European Commission.

The museum is a partnership between University College Dublin and the National Library of Ireland and was singled out by the Europa Nostra jury for its work as a heritage project fostering social cohesion, inclusion, multicultural dialogue and nurturing a sense of place and belonging.
