Double Booked: A light-hearted tale of self-discovery and bi romance
Despite some dated cultural references and a rather naive heroine, Lily Lindon deals adeptly with the subject of bisexuality in her readable and enjoyable debut novel
Books about women exploring their bisexuality were once banned or burned, but these days they make for perfectly well-behaved works of commercial fiction. Like Double Booked, the debut novel by British writer and editor Lily Lindon. Touted by her fellow author Laura Kay as “the queer rom-com I’ve been waiting for”, it delivers a comic, if slightly corny, story of a woman who comes out as bi and ends up living a double life.
