Software donation will help schools

A Co Clare company has kick-started an initiative that could see secondary schools in Ireland avail of over €100 million worth of free computer-aided design (Cad) technology over the coming years.

Cadtec has agreed a deal with US technology company UGSPLM to supply free Cad software to up to 750 secondary schools in Ireland for use in a range of technical subjects.
