Irish property market recovery rate praised

The Irish property sector is moving towards recovery faster than some of its European counterparts, according to the incoming president of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Speaking ahead of the annual meeting of the RICS international governing council, which will be held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Dublin tomorrow and Tuesday, Alan Collett said that Ireland had addressed its banking sector's non-performing loan problem more swiftly than other European countries.
