For a family break that ticks all the boxes, look no further than Mayo, writes Maeve McLoughlin.
The physical challenges enjoyed or perhaps endured by the regular writers in these pages often leave me feeling unadventurous and unfit. Not for me, swimming through Argentinian rivers on horseback or sledding above the Arctic Circle.
So when my editor suggested an activity holiday in Co Mayo, I hesitated. But this was a family activity holiday and if my seven-year-old could cope with it, I probably could too.
