Carzone.ie, the popular Irish website for motor dealers and consumers, has been sold to the Guardian Media Group (GMG) in a deal worth a reputed €5 million.

Carzone.ie, the popular Irish website for motor dealers and consumers, has been sold to the Guardian Media Group (GMG) in a deal worth a reputed €5 million.

Trader Media Group, a subsidiary of GMG, last week acquired Webzone, the Dublin holding company of the motor website. Carzone founders Peter Crowley and Noel O'Halloran, who each owned 45 per cent, are set to enjoy a multi-million-euro windfall.
