Drive on for tennis sponsorship

With Wimbledon starting tomorrow, Tennis Ireland is embarking on a drive to win corporate sponsorship.

The body responsible for promoting tennis in Ireland is to open a €1.3million national training centre at Dublin City University next month, the first of its kind in this country.

It's a major departure for the sport, and should mean that parents of promising youngsters no longer have to send them abroad for training.
