Copenhagen making its mark

Growing in popularity thanks to TV shows such as The Killing and Borgen, Copenhagen is a safe and vibrant city with plenty for visitors to see and do, writes Julian Fleming.

From a height of 200 feet, the Danish capital of Copenhagen looks gorgeous. Far beneath you, clusters of lights shine brightly through the dusk, illuminating the city's impeccably tidy streets, quirky houses and beautiful canals. There is a marked juxtaposition of the old and new in this part of Scandinavia: centuries-old buildings sit alongside gleaming office blocks, but it is a mix that works well.
