Fewer than one-third of councils will be able to cut the property tax bills of homeowners due to the pressure on their budgets.

According to an analysis by The Sunday Business Post, the remaining two-thirds of councils are not taking in enough revenue from the property tax to be able to afford a reduction in the rate without cutting existing services.
