Blame game of pointing fingers at Westminster is wearing thin

Another crisis, another resolution at Stormont. But the job of governing will become harder as resources shrink.

They love their crises at Stormont. It’s what they live for. Last week they took the institutions to the precipice once more only to pull back in time-honoured fashion at the last minute. A budget agreed. Another crisis averted.

Of course, the only reason they’ve done so is to provide opportunities for more crises in the future. Had Sinn Féin and the DUP not agreed a budget, the British Treasury would have withdrawn ...
