Bathing/surfing rules

Bathing and surfing are regulated in Biarritz. Beach surveillance is taken extremely seriously and is guaranteed from June 1 until October 1.

The pavilions on the beaches' main entrances have a hoisted flag to inform swimmers of the state of the water.

No Flag: the beach is not surveyed and swimmers go in at their own risk.
