The best street style from Copenhagen Fashion Week
The Danish capital’s street style scene is the perfect example of why Scandi style is so coveted
Copenhagen has become a hot ticket of the fashion week circuit of late, and it’s seen as a buzzy precursor to the fashion week schedules of the ‘Big Four’ cities – which kicks off this year on February 9 in New York and concludes in Paris on March 5.
The Danish capital has welcomed a select cohort of journalists, influencers, and buyers to its fashion week schedule over the years, and it’s now seen as the location to spot some of the industry’s hottest, emerging labels.
Mainstays include Scandi labels like Rotate, Saks Potts and Stine Goya, while newcomers like Nicklas Skovgaard and J.Lindeberg are tipped as ones to watch.
The missing piece of this season’s autumn-winter 2024 presentations, though, is a show from Scandi frontrunner Ganni. The brand is taking a back-seat this season to instead fund the New Talent Programme, which was launched for spring-summer 2023 to foster promising Nordic designers.
Under Ganni’s Fabrics of the Future initiative, which tests and invests in eco-innovative materials, the label is set to assist designers in using more sustainable fabrications for their collections.
And while the shows have been creating notable buzz on our social feeds, the streets are a good measure of how the distinctly covetable Scandi style plays out in real time, too. Below, we’ve rounded up the best moments of the week so far.
