Rixo launches a luxury vintage edit of designer treasures – starting at €65
Vintage Versace, YSL, Moschino, and Pucci are all part of the ‘True Vintage’ 30-piece edit
A vintage-feel is something that has always been synonymous with Rixo since its 2015 launch in London.
For the uninitiated, Rixo is the brainchild of Henrietta Rix and Orlagh McClosky, which they launched from their University flat while studying at the London College of Fashion. They wanted to plug the gap that existed for affordable vintage-inspired pieces and in the eight years since, their designs have been spotted on a cast of thousands: Margot Robbie, Poppy Delevingne, Sandra Bullock, and Hailey Bieber.
The design duos oft bohemian, print-laden pieces are distinctly covetable: if you’re a fan of the brand, you would instantly clock a Rixo dress if you saw one with #humansofrixo receiving over 16,000 posts on Instagram.
It’s latest launch, though, goes back to Rixo’s roots: its True Vintage collection is a 30-piece edit of designer vintage pieces sourced by Rix and McClosky. “Orlagh and I went to Parma in Italy to source lots of gorgeous one-off treasures.. we can't wait for our humans of Rixo to discover these items. We want to create an online flea market where we’ll launch drops of true vintage throughout the year,” Rix said of the collection.
The edit includes vintage pieces from Versace, YSL, Moschino, and Pucci with standout items being a Jil Sander chiffon-like black dress, a Versace sequin-encrusted mini dress, and a Pucci printed double-breasted jacket. Prices run from €65 to €2,190 (the Versace mini dress carrying the highest price tag) with pieces fully dry cleaned and alterations made by Rixo’s in-house team.
Given Rixo’s first in-store launch consisted of half Rixo designs, half vintage pieces, it makes sense that the True Vintage edit is one they hope to maintain as a key feature of the brand’s offering. Our advice for the first drop? Act quick.
