How having high-street clothing tailored is giving non-celebs the perfect fit

The decline in quality and fit of off-the-rack clothing has been going on for years – but there is a solution we all can access, thanks to our local tailor

“Even expensive clothes won’t look their worth if they don’t fit correctly,” explains Irish designer Claire O’Connor.

Nobody knows this better than the London-based couturier, who spends most of her time tailoring pieces from brands such as Gucci, Prada and Valentino for celebrated actors preparing to take their turn on the Bafta or Sundance red carpets.
