First look at Dublin’s newest luxury hotel suite

With views overlooking Trinity College, the suite includes a wraparound private balcony, outdoor lounge seating, champagne on arrival, a secret private entrance and personal concierge services

The Westin Dublin has unveiled its new College Suite, a dual-level space featuring high ceilings and a wraparound private balcony with a view of Trinity College, College Green, and Westmoreland Street. The accommodation includes a large drawing room, a mezzanine level, a large bedroom with a double-height ceiling, a king-size bed, a walk-in dressing area and an Italian marble ensuite bathroom. Crystal chandeliers have also been added as well as brass finishing, marble, and mahogany floors, while on the tech side, there is an automatic pop-up swivel TV hidden within a bespoke mahogany console at the end of the bed.

The makeover of what was originally the Presidential Suite also includes a shakeup in the original palette with silvers and golds now predominant throughout with bespoke carpet, and rug designs putting a modern twist on a traditional damask design. Wall lights have been added with Heathfield tabletop lamps are also new.

The split-level College Suite includes a wraparound private balcony with views of Trinity College and the surrounding areas, with outdoor lounge seating meaning guests can get a birdseye view of the waking city with their morning coffee. The suite’s drawing room has a classic button-backed sofa, Waterford Chrystal chandelier, mahogany pieces, brass accents, and marble tops. The mezzanine level comes with a secret private entrance allowing for an extra workspace or office and an option for private meetings.

The bedroom comes with double-height and floor-to-ceiling windows, an oversized Waterford Chrystal chandelier illuminating the king-size bed with an oversized mirror framed solid blue headboard with brass surround. It also features upholstered wall panels with button detail while the pop-up swivel TV is hidden within a bespoke mahogany console at the end of the bed. The bathroom comes with Calacatta marble and porcelain tiles with a large freestanding bathtub, an antique mirrored wall, a double vanity unit and Axor brass finish fittings throughout as well a rainfall shower.

Guests of the College Suite also get to avail of various services and amenities including private check-in, champagne upon arrival, a bespoke offering from the executive chef, daily personalised amenities, twice daily accommodation service, personal concierge services, late check-out until 2pm (subject to availability) and dry cleaning (for up to two garments) along with shoeshine service.
