Paul Reid, chief executive of the health service, said that a forthcoming prior year adjustment to the HSE’s 2020 accounts will total “less than €100 million”.

Reid was speaking on RTÉ’s Morning Ireland show to respond to various points made in this newspaper’s story detailing a leaked meeting of officials from the Department of Health in advance of a meeting between HSE financial officers and the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform.
