Move to block Holles St using state funds in Harris legal row

Hiqa has sought an additional €328,242 for third investigation of the hospital; regulator warned Minister for Health that Holles Street investigation was unnecessary

Ireland East Hospital Group is preparing to instruct Holles Street maternity hospital not to use public funds in its legal action against Minister for Health Simon Harris. The group wrote to the Department of Health saying it wants to stop the voluntary hospital, which is one of 11 hospitals in its group, from using money to fund a judicial review.
