The manufacturer of the experimental drug that cancer sufferer Vicky Phelan is using has no plans to fund a drug trial in Ireland.

Manufacturer MSD said it needed to do a broader and more comprehensive trial than what was possible in Ireland. It said this was needed in order to get regulatory approval for the drug in the EU.
