HIV drug maker in court bid to block rivals

The manufacturer of a life-saving HIV drug will have to drop its prices or lose market share if cheaper generic drugs are allowed go on sale, the Commercial Court has heard.

Pharmaceutical giant Gilead Sciences, which makes the antiretroviral drug Truvada, is seeking an injunction against competitors Teva and Mylan preventing their cheaper generic products from being launched in Ireland.
