Department of Health officials ramp up pressure on minister
Senior officials in the Department of Health have urged Minister for Health Simon Harris to implement the Portlaoise Hospital Action Plan.
Chief medical officer Tony Holohan and the director of the National Patient Safety Office Dr Kathleen MacLellan wrote to Harris and encouraged him to proceed with the action plan.
